Queen is popular band that hailed from London which was strongly influenced by funk and progressive styles. They were formed in 1971 and the people included in the band's original line-up are Freddie Mercury who mans the piano and takes lead vocals, Brian May on guitar and vocals, John Roger Taylor on drums and vocals, and John Deacon on bass guitar. The band still performs these days although only Taylor and May are active. Freddie Mercury died in 1991 due to bronchopneumonia while Deacon retired six years after.


Local success was easy for Queen and two albums - "Sheer Heart Attack" and "A Night at the Opera" allowed them to penetrate the international scene helped by the rock music Videos Queen. The group was inducted into the Hall of Fame of Rock and Roll in 2001.
